Folks...I am going cuckoo. I have a ~ 2 yr old Profitec Pro 700 that can be plumbed in. Till now, I've been using Rpavlis water recipe and recently I just measured my brew water parameters ( see attached pics)

I live in Grand Prairie TX, and here is a recent water quality report: https://www.gptx.org/home/showdocument?id=21179

However,

- I'm tired of making my own brew water, prepping, using pipettes, storing, etc...
- want to plumb it in and take advantage of pre-infusion and possibly improve my espresso taste without damaging the machine..

I have been researching this forum, websites, etc and I am thinking that I would need an RO system + re-mineralization filters. Given my water am I a good candidate or should I use something like the BWT system?

Currently, my pick is this: https://prima-coffee.com/equipment/opti ... 2-optip-pp

Main question: if my choice above is crapiola, are there any recommendations for a pro water system and a local DFW installer ? My setup is on the opposite side of any water source, so since I possess Tim The Tillman Taylor's skills, I need someone to help me install it (run ~75' linear water line from back of fridge). !

I appreciate your insights Gang, help, recommendations - I have reached analysis paralysis!

Cheers and be well!

That OptiPure system may be very good, IDK. But, it is ridiculously expensive. Take a look at the Home Master series. Here's a link to their Cadillac model with UV and reminerilzation. At 1/4 the price tag.

What is the water specifics with this system? Was in the process of just ordering a filtering and softener system but this might be better

There's a link in my post. What "water specifics" are you looking for?

Everyone considering this just remember your remineralization will depend on both the health of your cartridge and the time in contact with the water. I just updated my Espresso Cart thread. You have no worries about water quality that way. I suspect I spend 8 min every 10 weeks and it would be 5 if it weren't for my water loving Bengal cats to refill it. Yes I do spend an hour once a year with a deep clean. Well worth it for the peace of mind.
