A few thoughts if you want Amazon.

Accumulator

Pump

John Guest Tubing

This can all be configured into a small space.

As Dan mentioned the accumulator stops the recycling. You can try the Shurflo accumlator first - no harm. The thing you need to get right is the connectors. Home Depot here has a limited supply. You will need adapters for the Shurflo accumulator. You will need to understand which one you need for the espresso machine. All this said if you have room for the Accumulator suggested I would go with that. It can be vertical or horizontal. Make sure you have enough shut off valves and you know what tank you will use.

PS what water are you going to use? We make our own starting with distilled. You need to make sure you have good water so if you were planning on using tap then make sure you understand what it is.

One more note: Generally, I source all plumbing related pieces, including all John Guest products, from Fresh Water Systems. Great company with generally fast ship outs.

The accumulator suggested doesn't ship to my location unfortunately (probably too big). And if I try using ebay for that accumulator, shipping estimates are cost + $115 shipping. Amazon doesn't ship the shureflo one either, but looks like they are a bit more common on ebay second hand/open box.
As for water, I was originally planning on just using distilled water and using third wave for now to get started.

If there are any suppliers of RO systems you can see who will sell you a 3 gallon tank locally.

Yea I think I'm going to need to talk to a professional water business. I can't find any accumulators or a water container outside of a standard 5 gallon carboy at supermarkets. Also when it comes to the fittings, is this similar to PC watercooling where they don't recommend using metal fittings in order to prevent mixing metals? Should I specifically look for the Polypropylene body over brass fittings for the tee?

Well...my Flowjet 5000 series pump of 14 months (with 12 month warranty) let go tonight. I heard it cycle and then a strange hissing noise. After a quick inspection, found that the pump was no longer operational (water was leaking from the pump chassis when I turned it over).

My setup was:
18L bottle ==> Flowjet 5000 series pump ==> Flowjet accumulator ==> ECM Synchronika

Given some of the comments here, I think I'm going to get a Aquatec 5851-7E12-J574 (or the 5853) to replace the flowjet.

Take it for what it's worth -- Fresh Water Systems

Query

"I'm looking for a reasonably self-contained, bottle-fed system for espresso machines. 45-ish PSI and 1 GPM is preferred to 0.6 GPM.

It looks like the FLojet BW5000-010A is discontinued and you don't seem to carry the Starflo BW4003A. What other options do you have or suggest? "

Response

"Our prior Flojet unit would normally be the recommend option for an application like this. Unfortunately as you noticed, we will be discontinuing to carry the models going forward here in 2023."

(I have an Aquatec, Watts P60 reg, gauge, fittings, and hose on the way. I skipped an accumulator as I'll be changing water formulations more than occasionally.)

Put together the parts list and ask for quotes or just ask where you can get an accumulator on the island, OR have someone bring one to you on a plane out there OR have someone in the US put together a box and use UPS. I am happy to share a parts list. PM me an email. Part of the cost of living in Hawaii I suppose.

We will see how long this lasts with the pump cycling nearly every shot. Maybe a small accumulator with more fittings so you can drain it. I am not sure the cycling noise will bother you as much as the timing as it could decide to go off during a shot. Time will tell.

Sorry hear this and I updated my first post based on this. I think the 5851 pumps slower so if noise is a concern the 5853 might be better.
So look closely.
