I'm having very similar issues trying to dial in my extractions with the same grinder. I often get the same sort of north/south pattern, even though the grinds seem to be very fluffy and free of clumps coming out of the grinder. I've tried changing my prep routine with different combinations of WDT, leveling, and tamping, but the extraction is always uneven under the pf. I'm glad to see you got better results by grinding into a cup, as I was considering doing the same. Is this a common thing with Ceado grinders? I'm still new to espresso, so I'm sure my prep needs improvement as well.

The espresso is drinkable, but I can taste the unevenness and I think it's the main difference between my shots and what I get from a barista.

This has been my only real grinder recently so I can't really compare it to anything. I used to work with a big doser grinder when I was a barista, but i really don't remember what brand it was - considering that it was over 20 years ago. :)
