Rancilio Silvia w 17g La Marzocco basket gushing shots

So I just purchased this basket from Espresso Parts so I can fit 18g without overfilling. For some reason my shots have been gushing out compared to the stock Silvia basket using the same coffee, dosage, tamp pressure.. What am I doing wrong? It does seem like it has more holes. Am I supposed to adjust the grind? Btw it has Auber PID as well.
