My suggestion is to try making almond (or any rich nut you can get in bulk) milk yourself. It's really easy, esp if you have a good blender. Just soak overnight most kinds, blends in morning then strain and press through cheese cloth.

It won't be sweet (no lactose or sugar), but for me I've been able to steam it well. You can add extra oil or other ingredients, but this is where commercial milks have quite a lot extra added. In some ways you could even make a "milk" from just blended oil and sweetener without the nuts. But just about anything added is going to significantly alter the taste of espresso.
