Hi guys, I am using a Breville espresso machine which has a pressure gauge that shows you the ideal pressure range for espresso brewing. What happens to me is that initially I don't get the desired pressure and my coffee starts dripping, stops for a little bit, builds up pressure to the desired one and starts dripping again.

Is this behavior normal ? I am doing something wrong ? maybe my tamping ?

It sounds like the pre-infusion feature that is preset from Breville. It usually takes around six seconds to reach full pressure.
