Flojet water pressure and crema

Hi. I have a Unic Rumba in excellent condition with a Flojet water pump. After pulling shots I'm seeing water and not a compressed or packed hockey puck like it's supposed to be. Any recommendations or any tips in order to increase the pressure and pull shot accordingly? I'm also not getting the viscous frothy crema that the ideal espresso is to have. Please help. Thanks!

The FloJet simply supplies a steady nominal pressurized supply of water. Your machines pump is what generates the pressure. The first obvious question is what do you have the pump pressure set at?

If you like a dry/compressed puck, increase the dose in the basket.

Maybe you need to backflush the machine in order to clean the 3 way solenoid (for a dry puck)
