I would try 12g to 14g in the stock Bezzera basket.

Thanks Damion, I went coarser, got a 15sec shot, started going finer, can already tell a difference, getting better shots now, just need to fine tune it. Thanks again

I finally got rid of all my channeling. I got a bottomless portafilter and a Asso Coffee The Jack Leveler, I only use the jack leveler to tamp.works great.
