Dotted lines on latte edges?

Ok, I am slowly getting the hang of the heart, but does anyone know why the milk makes a bit of a dotted line on the right side?

Using whole milk. It doesn't seem to matter how old milk is, happens with freshly bought milk as well (today is the expiration date of that milk carton).

I'm not sure, but I find that it's hard to diagnose from photos. it really helps to take a video of the pour, because then you can watch the pattern develop from start to finish. This will likely identify how and why the dotted lines are forming in your pours.

Huh, it hasn't happened again. Maybe something with the milk...
