Additional questions:

Is it metal body like a acaia lunar or still a bit flimsy plasticky brewista scale I?

See the link in my first post. I don't think the material has changed.

Seems to have similar features as the Lunar, but what about the specs? Accuracy and speed... I have the Pearl but want to use it strictly for weighing the portafilter and get a small water resistant scale for the tray. At a fraction of the cost, the Bv2 looks interesting.

I'm also interested in this scale. I need something small enough for the tray for weighing espresso extractions but not as expensive as the Lunar

Is this supposed to be as waterproof as the Lunar? My Lunar gets absolutely soaked regularly between steam, espresso, and water spray from the 3-way exhaust...

From what I have read it is water resitant, more than the previous version but not waterproof like the Lunar. So I am guessing it can take some water punishment from being on the tray. How long will it survive though??

From the specs it says let it dry out and it will start working again. I'm a bit skeptical.

I would say that using the overall transparent cover should give it a good protection
