Another simple change from the initial settings is to shorten the shot time/reduce the volume or lengthen the shot time/increase the shot volume. By changing the extraction ratio it impacts the shot enough that I really notice the difference.

I mention this because it took me quite a while to start factoring this until my shot tuning because I didn't (and probably still don't) understand clearly how it impacts the shot.
