Yeah, they are trying to motivate higher volume. You have to determine the cost per pound with shipping and ask yourself if it worth it. The Bob-o-link goes from $4 per lb to $6 per pound for a 10lb order including a $20 shipping.

I have not been able to locate another US source for their coffee.

If anyone notices other microlot greens from them available to the home roaster, please let me know. The link has some comments about the farm, as described in a Blue Bottle coffee co. blog.
Bob O Link is a bird and here's the history.

A different attempt and did a pour over for my wife. This is big & bold. Probably great with milk. A likely candidate for espresso. Mellows & sweetens as it cools. Waiting a few minutes more, a tad bile at room temp. The grinder setting could be a bit fine.

A bit of a ride but, closer to 30/20/10f and didn't break that 500 deg. barrier. I did taste this and got more spice than cheap chocolate. Nice aroma.

Take a look at the top of his graph specifically the ROR's as he goes through the stages of the roast.
