So I have 3 RTDs connected to Artisan via Phidgets (got the RTDs from Phidgets). They're about 6 months old. They've worked great but the last few roasts I've had issues. The ΔBT probe gets erratic a few minutes into the roast. It fluctuates like 50C - very bogus data.

Wondering if this is how RTDs typically fail? I imagine I could do some testing to see what's bad - the RTD, or the Phidget device.

Thoughts?

Haven't updated lately but I will.

I use a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10.

This has all been working perfectly for 6 months or so, then the one RTD started acting up.

And ya, it's plugged in.

Well, swap the problem RTD with one of the working ones at the board and see if the problem moves channels. That answers the question of is that RTD the problem.

just gibve updating a try, and then using the laptop without the power brick...there are plenty of folks needing to use a USB isolator to dial down noise.
just my 2 cts.

Hope it helps, RTDs can fail too....mine work flawlessly and I have only seen few reports of an RTD failing but it can happen!
