Also simple brew methods can provide good feedback, whether it's a cupping brew, pourover, Clever Dripper, French press, and so on. None of the ones mentioned have any automation, and they're not going to accumulate scale.

What I WOULD do for a good cup of coffee!

I use a rate of rise sheet I build in excel with graph. Chance would have it that I had to roast by rote memory on this particular date and did not use my sheet. Long story short, one of the other roasters had the laptop. Thanks for the advice.
