This seems like an interesting experiment:

If they've still got some by the next time I roast I'll pick up a lb.

Looking like an interesting Gesha from SM. Definitely looks well sorted. Ordered a pound and interested in seeing how it turns out.

These 1lb per customer offerings are kind of frustrating. Ive never had one come out well enough where I was happy with my purchase.

Yea definitely limiting on the roasting front... you screw up a few sample roasts and bam you have half your starting amount...

I'm just going to do it as a one and done, after some figuring the best way to approach it. I've had pretty good luck in the past with 1/4 # batches of Geisha and other special coffees.

A micro sample roaster would really come in handy.

Yeah, agreed with the concerns. Not sure if I'll try it all in one shot or divide it up. I've had limited success with small batches on the Cormorant.

Not that I am going to order Sweet Maria's Panamian Gesha for $22/lb... I still have ~10 lb of Guatemala Gesha I paid half of the price ... 1 lb of greens is usually what I have always ordered. For FreshRoast, 4 oz is the optimal batch, but I can go as low as 1 oz. I sometimes buy a half-pound sampler just to try new greens.
I am a home-roaster, not a home-barista...

I did. Can't wait. 2-225r roast hot fast and close. Should be wonderful and I have a profile waiting.

I just ordered some. Pretty excited, as the only Gesha I've tried has been washed. I agree 1lb is pretty limited, especially since the smallest amount I can do in my roaster is .5lb. But I understand, it was only a 350lb lot.
