Neither of Royal's Juan Pena coffees are oak barrel aged.

The Anerobic still has the messed up discriptions listing it as a decaf Colombia, so hopefully they straighten that out.

The one and last oak barrel aged coffee I've ever consumed was a gag-inducing mess from Modern Times Brewery years ago. Not my cuppa.

I would agree. The Taisha could be a wonderful comfort coffee but I'm not tempted right now. Both are described as sourced from Royal.

Cool. Haven't looked at Burman before. Won't miss them again!

Am considering getting this CROWN JEWEL ECUADOR SARAGURO JUAN PEÑA ANAEROBIC NATURAL

https://royalcoffee.com/product/3427097000010940061/

Would this be a good bean for espresso? That is my main drink of choice, and just want to make sure that I can drink 22lb of it

I had COSTA RICA CORDILLERA DE FUEGO ANAEROBIC 2021 and enjoy it as straight espresso; usually my second one. If you are ok with the acidity in your espresso then this would be a good one; and you can always blend with a Brazil natural to tone it down. I am also guessing you could unload some of it here.

I bought a pound of it green and a small amount of it they roasted for the Crown. It's pretty good. Not Juan Pena's best, but good. It tastes like a clean fruit salad.

I ordered 10 pounds of the "Colombian Premium Huila Palestina - Aguazul - Pink Bourbon Washed Processed" from Burman, got it a few days ago and roasted some yesterday. My gosh, this is a FANTASTIC bean. I just went and bought 10 more pounds and have a feeling I'm going to regret not buying 50 pounds. The aroma when ground is so multi-dimensional and wonderful. In 10+ years of roasting this is in my top 3 beans ever.

Super, I just ordered some! I'll be finding an Ikawa Home profile that works well for it. Thanks!
