I have been running some beans through the drum (no gas) to calibrate the motor logic. Though I am running into a serious issue. Beans keep getting stuck between the fin inside the drum and the top left corner of the the bean drop opening. See below:

Has anyone seen this before who has a Huky? This causes the drum to literally seize up and not spin, sort of like a wedge in there. And the bean drop door is secured tightly to the front face plate so there is no gap and it looks to be sitting on the faceplate correctly when closed.

Thoughts?

I've never had that problem with my Huky. I'd check the assembly and if you can't resolve it, I'd reach out to Mr. Li.

Thanks for the replies. I sent an email off to Mr. Li with some pics.

I checked the assembly a few times and the bean door seems pretty straight forward - when closed it is supposed to fill in the cutout on the face place. It just seems there is a small gap in the upper left when it is shut that the beans are catching on when they rotate around the face plate.

Very odd. I will see what Mr. Li says about it.

I expect the bean door is not the problem but the position of te faceplate and or drum itself? Or is the end of one of the vanes showing a larger gap/damaged/bent?

Update... after an email exchange and a few pics to Mr. Li, he shared that the bean door has "excessive grinding" in the top left corner causing a gap between the door and the corner of the faceplate opening. He shipped me a new bean door today - great service!

Construction and paint coat complete. Pics below:

I am now waiting for the door replacement before I can add any beans.
