Hi, new to roasting and specially around taking measurements. I have a new cormorant - and have the sensors (BT, ET) connected to artisan 2.8 running on my MacBook. I did download the Phidget drivers as well. Attached is a screenshot (not the best) with a roast curve which I did on some sample beans. I think what this is telling me that the BT temp is running really low. Which is not making sense to me..wanted to request any feedback on this..What am I missing...Thanks in advance.

Both temps look low. Are you preheating the roaster? What's your charge temp?

Hopefully someone using Artisan will weigh in. Both BT & Et look odd to me.

BT certainly seems miles off to me, ET not sure.

To try and isolate the problem, I'd recommend trying to just test the sensors. Remove the TC probes from the compression fittings, and try dipping them into cups of iced water and boiling water. You should be able to see if you are getting good reading from the sensors fairly easily this way.

If they are working well, then I think that you probably have an issue with the sensor positioning. If I were you, I'd be contacting Johan - he has been extremely helpful to me, and I bought my Cormorant second hand...

When heating the machine are the temps showing in the ballpark? I am not sure you even hit Charge when you started the roast. Where is the Delta BT curve?

Like ShotClock Dave says, test the probes. You can use boiling water.
