The intent of the inline fan is to help draw the exhaust through the hose and outside. I roast anywhere from light to very dark and when roasting dark, there is a lot of smoke coming off the beans (both during 2C and cooling) and without the inline fan, I would have a lot of smoke seepage through the connections on the hose.

Here are the specs for my current 4" Vivosun inline fan:
4" Duct Fan w/ Plastic Blade
Air Flow: 100 CFM
Voltage: 120V/ 60Hz
Power: 12W
Speed: 2,800 r/min
Noise Level: 45 dB(A)
Davin, did you use some type of speed control devise on the fan, like a dimmer switch, or just let it go out of the box?
