Who makes custom gaskets for very old espresso machines?

Equipment doesn't work? Troubleshooting? If you're handy, members can help.

Hi Everyone,

Do any HB members make custom gaskets? I have two very old machines that need larger then current diameter brew group/portafilter gaskets. I can email you a Word copy of the original CAD with dimensions/thickness. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Steve

You'll need to measure these off the group head, but then I recommend you just buy the size you need, in a square ring, rather than making your own. Marco Rubber (marcorubber.com/square-ring-seals.htm) is a good choice. You need to provide the dimensions though, unfortunately. You'll be able to chose the materials (buna N is standard and stocked).

I had Eriks make me some custom square O rink gaskets for the Faemina top rod long ago, they can make plenty of things but there is a price tag...nowadays they have a global presence but it seems their gasket goto office is Eindhoven Netherlands, perhaps they have more places with this expertise but my experience is that folks talking to a random office get static on the line.
(BTW the ones Francesco had made work better in the long run)
