At the high end, perhaps, but not everyone has $5k to spend a machine. For those that do, we likely made the purchase based on a set of specific criteria that we needed to fulfill as home users. For me for example, I wanted a DE1 because it was compact, portable, and allowed me to make coffee as simple as pushing a button or as complicated as using pre-programmed flow control profiles or fully-manual control of flow and pressure on the fly l. None of that is important for a commercial user.

What I am attempting to convey is that my version of 'best' is likely to be very different to yours. There is no 'best' machine, it just depends which one ticks the most of your individual boxes.
