It actually did come with a control box but I am not going to use it as I am building a (semi auto) EE style with simple brew switches. It will have an auto-fill with an override switch for the steam boiler. The brew boiler is open to line pressure and always full. The pump and motor will be external... It would have been nice to have those internal but not at the cost of making the case larger.Chert wrote: IIRC from the [FS] listing, there was no control box with this collection of parts. I am curious what you will do about controlling the machine. With boiler autofill, each group could be manual. Is that correct? Inboard or outboard motor and pump?

Powder Coat:
The parts came back from powder coat today! I'm really happy with how they turned out.
This is Prismatic Powder's Splatter Black... it's kind of hard to capture digitally but it is the closest approximation I've seen of the paint one sees on vintage camera bodies and darkroom equipment.

very nice!
Does a thickness of powder coat affect at all how any fittings attach?

Yes! I generally make any holes a little bit oversized and use spacers when fitting/welding the body parts.

I saw a petroleum lube tube sticking in one of the pictures. Given your workmanship I am sure you know more than me but my experience has been to be careful with that lube near any o-rings. It causes some of the O-rings to swell and kick the bucket in a year or so. (it is good for crush washers).
I've opted on superlube (as Dow 111 is not easily available here).
Your work is stunning!
