I bought the overpriced Decent Espresso basic scale (for $30 before I knew it was a cheap Chinese product). Now the double-sided tape that holds the actual weighing platform in place has failed and the platform is unsecured.

What would you recommend I use to secure the platform with?

I've tried normal double-sided tape but it failed to stick onto the surfaces.

Thanks

How about a bit of hot glue? I use very strong 3M double sided tape most of the time around the house. It has insane holding power if it sticks to the surface good enough, but there are a few items that it was useless on, so out comes the hot glue provided the heat won't affect it negatively.
