So that valve was stuck open? And water always diverted back to the tank? I thiught you looked for flow back to the tank already. Glad you got it fixed. You might want to replace the seal (5 I think) the seals dry out, deform etc.

Think the opposite. I think there was low flow was entering the suppression valve caused by a partial clog. I'm still new to this so might be wrong, but the reason I think that is because water wasn't diverted out the drain hose and the flow of water out the group was low.
