Emailed Rick with questions if it was possible for the Micra. If remotely close will be diving in!

For those of you in contact with Rick, any responses lately? Haven't had an initial reply just yet. :/

Yes. I ordered the kit a couple of weeks ago and inquired about status and he replied timely. It usually takes a few days for him to respond, especially if the email is sent on weekends. That was my experience.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply. I've reached out on email, IG, and even phoned him. No luck.

I just received the EMP mod. I will need to find some time to install it and report back. I'm a little reluctant to install the shot timer as I don't want to cut into the machine's front cover. :D

Nice! I'm looking forward to hearing how everything works out for you. When I installed the Titus gear pump mod it took me quite a while, but got it all done in one day. It took a while because I had never broken down an espresso machine to that level before. The directions were pretty straightforward and everything went well. I wonder if this one will be easier to install.

I installed the shot timer on my machine as well. I had the same feelings as you and hated the idea of cutting into the front of my machine. I used the recommended bit and it was pretty easy and it ended up looking great. It's been working flawlessly and I love it.

Could you post a picture with the shot timer installed?

Installation complete! It took me a whole day since I did not have all of Rick's tools, and I needed to stop and play the video continuously to ensure I wasn't missing a step. I pulled a couple of shots, and my wife noticed the difference in taste; some of the coffee bitterness is gone. I held off on installing the timer for now; next time, probably. :D

I pulled some great shots both yesterday and this morning and indeed, the upgrade takes the machine to another level.
However, there's a downside to the upgrade if one has an outboarded pump, which was my case. I outboarded the pump a few years ago and I forgot how the LMLM vibrates with a pump inside. Granted, with this new configuration, vibration is tamed, more like a humming compared to the stock configuration. However, vibration was re-introduced to my machine. :(
I asked Rick about outboarding the upgrade; however that was not feasible.
