Good day. I have an Alex Duetto built 2011.
The PID recently failed as did the steam pressure relief valve.
I replaced both and descaled the boiler (no scale, soft water).

The machine has worked fine for two months.
the machine gets water from the reservoir.
Several days ago the reservoir went dry, the alarm sounded but the pump would not draw when tank refilled.
I removed the hose, poured water in and eventually the pump worked fine. The brew boiler works fine and the pump is drawing fine.

However, the steam boiler does not come on. The light showing its heating does not come on.
The switch turning on the steam boiler has been turned off an on several times. The machine has been unplugged and restarted several times.
The tank has a temperature probe not a pressurestat.
Can anyone give me some guidance as to further steps?

Haven't had that problem, fortunately for me...unfortunately for you. It sounds like you're going to need a multimeter to track down the issue though.

Fair enough. Any other suggestions?

The steam boiler has a limit stat, check that it doesn't need resetting (press little button in), check the wires to the limit stat as well.

read one of my reviews to find the location if you are unsure.
