I got an used Isomac Itala espresso machine. Not sure why, but previous owner removed the the thermal fuse.
I have ordered one, found its place but not sure how it should be connected. There are no loose cables inside and I don't want to connect it wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Looks like thermal cutout is still there

What "thermal fuse" is missing? Thermistor on the pump?

The isomac retailer said it should be installed..

Does the boiler heat?

This is a snip from a Zaffiro at site sponsor EspressoCare
It appears there is a fuse as well as the thermal breaker, which appears to be self resetting. The fuse is a safety against the breaker fail closed.

The fuse requires insulation and a clip to hold it to the boiler.

It stopped heating, and I think heating element has been burned.. Thanks for the picture, I guess I just have to get that clip and a screw to install that thermal brake. There is a screw hole on the top of boiler

This wiring diagram for a Zaffiro might help.

If you don't have one, a VOM is essential. A set of clip leads as opposed to probes makes life easier.

When working with 220V, and using a probe to find a fault, using one clip lead and one probe allows you to keep one hand in your pocket.

Sage advice to not get fatally electrocuted when working with a live circuit.

Double check the temperature value of the thermal fuse against the original parts list or schematic!
