Greetings!

I was wondering if anyone has done the dimmer mod to their Oscar 1 and if there are any tangible benefits to be had - especially the fact that it's a HX system. Most of the online video's show the Mods being done to single boilers.

Also, I was questioning if controlling the water flow (via the dimmer mod) means:
1) the OPV mod is no longer necessary
2) the flow restrictor mods is no longer necessary

1) the OPV mod just limits the maximum brew pressure. So while it's not necessary to have the OPV and dimmer mod (you can still control flow with just the dimmer mod), it does help to prevent too high of pressure when brewing your joe.
2) I'm not sure about this one
