Correct replacement vacuum breaker O-ring for La Marzocco Linea Mini?

My 1.5 year old Linea mini has started to hiss and consume quite a bit of water. Doing a quick search tells me that the vacuum breaker should be replaced.

No one seems to have stock of the vacuum breaker L193. So, according to the thread below a replacement o-ring is all that is required.

Question is what size?

A fat A80102 Aflas O-RIng was mentioned and linked to Amazon in the thread below. I just want to be sure it's correct.

The L193 is no longer available. They are replaced by L192 and A2017.

why does my machine which is only 1.5 years old have a different vacuum breaker valve?

That's the new breaker.

Uses memory metal to seal instead of gravity and pressure.

I did a search and it doesn't list the o-rings to replace.

I guess I'll be returning the "007" o-rings to Amazon

Unfortunately nobody has yet shared which O-rings are inside the new breaker valve, and a few of those who have opened them up have found them to be quite fragile...

Hopefully we will have an answer to this sooner than later.

O-ring for the new La Marzocco vacuum breaker

Sorry for misleading information. I had assumed you had the old style, given the part number you listed.

Cheers!

I recently reached out to LM about maintenance regarding this item. They said this new valve (SMA) has replaced an older version. They were out of stock for this valve (https://home.lamarzoccousa.com/product/ ... =SMA+Valve) but pointed me to other various vendors that have it in stock (easily found with searching la marzocco sma valve). They also told me to get a new copper washer (L100/1A) when replacing this.

I just wanted to add to this thread. My Mini was making a 'geiger' counter spluttering sound which took me quite a long time to diagnose the cause of. Eventually I decided it was the vacuum breaker but there seemed to be two different sizes (1/8 and 1/4) so I took it apart to work out which size it was.

Having disassembled the old one, I decided just to clean it with citric acid and lube it with silicone lube and put it back together. I also ordered the new part (about £60).

The temporary repair seems to be holding well so far (about 6 months) when it goes again I have the part to do a proper job.
