I am in the process of refurbing a 2008 Brasilia Portofino 1 GR. During assembly of the water inlet body I seem to have stripped a very thin thread on the indide of the body.

Not entirely sure what exactly the small screw/rod does, but I assume I have some trouble.

Can someone please explain what it does and if I can do anything other than replacing the while inlet body?

Disclaimer, this is my first refurb and technical knowledge on espresso machines are limited. I only purchased my Silvia 3 months ago quuckly wanted to fiddle with something slightly more industrial.

Had a new bolt turned by engineering shop. Internal thread was fine.
