So this morning I turned on my machine as normal. I heard it turn on, but then maybe 30 minutes later I went to make a drink and it was mysteriously off. Flipping the switch didn't work, nor did resetting the power strip. It won't turn back on. I know that it was warming up this morning because the top of the machine was warm. Also, I looked in the reservoir and it was low (I didn't notice the warning light but maybe the boiler was low on water?)

Any ideas??

TIA

Did you sort this problem out? From what I've experienced with these- The low level probe in the reservoir does cut the element- its a pretty decent safety setup to ensure the element doesn't fry itself with a low water level- its sorts the problem out before the boiler level is the problem- if you can understand my confusing statement!
