Hi,

My Andreja Premium has a pressure leak. As far as I can tell, it's coming from what I believe to be the PRV (not the vacuum breaker valve). It seem to be coming from the vent at the base of the tall cylindrical valve near the center of the boiler.

Is this a user serviceable part? It looks like removing and reinstalling could be a bear; there's not much room for a wrench without removing the steam and hot water lines. It looks like the top sleeve might be removable?

Edit: I don't think the boiler is really over pressure. The gauge reads a bit under 1.5.

Thanks!

Ben.

The boiler safety valve is the only device on the Andreja that I am aware of that is sealed with a copper sealing washer.

So, yes, if that is where it is leaking, you need to replace the washer or, PERHAPS, try to tighten the valve a touch.

1.50 bar is waaaaay too much. The maximum pressure you should have in the boiler is 1.10 bar.

To be clear, though, whether "just under 1.5" (actually probably close to 1.3) is the correct pressure, it should not be enough to cause the PRV to open, should it?

That's correct. According to the parts catalog, the boiler safety valve is rated at 3.00 bar.
