PM rate limiting

Hey Dan,
Having recently tried to reply to several PMs following a couple of posts on the Buy & Sell, I ran into the spam control:

You cannot make another post so soon after your last.

Not sure how many members regularly run into this, but there must be a better way of guarding against spam DMs than rather aggressive rate limiting?

The limit is 90 seconds; that doesn't strike me as unreasonable.
