Hey Dan,
I'm getting the 520 errors consistently as well, when clicking on threads. As others mentioned, if I refresh the page it loads as expected. I'm seeing the error across most threads I click on-including this one.

I couldn't reproduce the issue with Firefox on my iPhone.
I also tried turning my adblocker off, which didn't make a difference.
Browser is Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 14_7_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/14.1.2 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1
Mobile: true
Tablet: false
Capability: A
Ad blocker: true
Do not track: false
Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8
Edit: I also got the 520 error when I clicked submit on this post.

I'm not surprised: When there's a weird bug, it's almost always Safari. For those posting reports, are you using an iPhone and Safari? Or are their other variations?

I've seen other cases where it was only a certain region. Unfortunately, when that's the case, the only solution is time... presumably Cloudflare fixes whatever is broken on their end, despite their error message claiming otherwise. :|

Clicking the link to this topic from the Recent Forums section of the home page:
Getting HTTP 520 Error Code

Reloading loads properly.
User agent:
Browser is Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_6) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/14.1.2 Safari/605.1.15
Mobile: false
Tablet: false
Capability: A
Ad blocker: true
Do not track: false
Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8
As I mentioned earlier, this error code has appeared for me quite frequently the last several days when I open a topic or post a reply. Browsing the site pages does not appear to cause an error, so far.

It appears that the logins fail but the message posts (forum and PM's) succeed.

I'll see if I can dig any more info out later on my computer but I seem to get this when clicking on a thread for the first time. If I then go back and click the thread again, I still get the error, only refresh solves it.

Using iOS Safari 14 and I haven't updated it in a while.

To me this does not look like a Safari issue, nor an HB issue since it only happens rarely. Feels more like CloudFlare just isn't caching correctly.
