I received a 1kg bag of Crema Bar a couple of weeks ago, intending to break it up and freeze it. However, it was so good that we just killed the entire thing in one go. Using the 80s espresso profile on the decent, with ratios of around 1:1.1 to 1:1.4.

Hi everyone! FYI -- to my surprise, we received a new version the cappuccino cups this time around; it has a more modern shape than the original. We'll be carrying both versions for the time being. The new version is available on the website! The pic below shows it next to the classic espresso cup for reference.

I believe I received the original, but admittedly was half asleep when I unpacked them yesterday. How many ounces are the new ones?

Can you please post images showing the thickness of both cups?

It's a little bit difficult to tell from the photos but the new version is about 1mm thinner. I measured them both with a micrometer.... 8mm vs 9mm wall thickness. The capacity is very similar between the two, with the new version holding slightly less. Basically, the difference in height that you can see in the pic is the difference in capacity. In the 2nd pic, the new design is on the top. Also, the new design is still made by Nuova Point.

Do you think they may get the older style cappa cups? I should have bought more but didn't know how it would look and now regret it. Thinking to try the new style too?

My understanding is that they will continue to have both, so we have some of the old style coming in a couple weeks.
