Edit: We just got our first shipment of white grinders in, and black will be in likely next week. We will have updated photos and video coming soon.
I'm excited to announce that we're now able to take preorders for the new EK43 S! Mahlkonig USA has their first shipment on the way, and we're currently expecting stock of both black and white models to arrive sometime around late July or early August. Price is the same as the EK43, as pretty much everything but the height is the same with this grinder. It's got 98 mm cast steel burrs, the updated grind chamber, burr carrier, and shear plate, plus the new metal feet. It comes with the "slim" 800 gram hopper standard, but we also have the short hopper available to cut about another 4 inches off the height. We haven't had one in to measure exactly, but the EK43 S with a short hopper should be right around 23 inches tall - extra clearance is needed to swing the hopper cover open however.

Can you take a measurement now with the short hopper and one with no hopper?

Yes, we will be adding more measurements to the listing next week. We're currently out of stock of the short hoppers, but we have a shipment that should be coming in on Monday or Tuesday. Once those are in, we'll take the opportunity to get full measurements on height with various hoppers as well as under-spout clearance.

Since we've had a few people ask about height and other dimensions:
- The EK43 S is 17 inches tall without a hopper attached.
- With a short hopper, it is 22 inches tall and needs extra clearance for the flip-top lid to open. I'd say about 4-7 inches are needed depending on how much you'd like to open the lid.
- With the included hopper, it is 27 inches tall. You'd need some extra clearance here too to remove the lid and add beans.
- Clearance under the spout is 6 inches.
