It was again a "long-distance running" on a bumpy track from prototyping to (small batch) production. The time for a working prototype was extremely limited but we could demo the kit with our smart espresso profiler on WOC Amsterdam:

Dritan liked it also. No milk steaming option though:

For the prototype, we used some parts from the modern lever group kit (too many parts, way too expensive to produce, see picture below).

We made two more prototypes in the summer tested them and decided to produce the version with the horizontally positioned gauge.

From left to right (tilted, horizontal, first prototype):

With that version, we have to re-design the faceplate but the angle of the gauge can be adjusted individually.

We finished the production of the custom pistons two days ago
and hope that we get the horizontally designed stainless steel dial scales for the gauges in the coming days:

Very nice! Keep us posted! Just thinking, can the gauge lose its calibration? What to do if it does?

The first batch of dial scales has been delivered.

Assembled the first one:

"can the gauge lose its calibration?"

Not with normal use. BUT it is not water resistant! You shouldn't immerse it in water and clean the piston carefully in general.

Great work Gábor!

When will you add these to the order form on your website? I'd like to order one, plus the electronic profiler.

In a couple of days.

The Flair with the Smart Espresso Profiler is a Leva X killer :-)

Any chance of using a brighter coloured needle to show up against the dark background? Older eyes here.

Looks very cool!

Great idea. Will check this option the next time with Nuova Ricambi. I used to buy the gauges from La Marzocco directly so far. They have black needles.
