Been looking thru the thread, very vast to say the least. This particular question caught my eye however. How do the new handles feel "in hand" compared to the weight of the portafilter head?Have you ever thought about putting lead or some kind of weight in the handle to counter-balance the PF? Don't know if there's the room for it, but I was thinking that could be kind of cool with the extra weight in the handle making it feel really nice in the hand - nice and heavy.

No lighter than the plastic ones on the stock portafilters and often a little heavier depending on the wood. Weight has never been an issue especially since it is in your hand for about 30 seconds.

I have been working on a personal project for most of the past month. My brothers inlaws both died this year, he asked if I could make a simple urn. Red oak, 11x8, box jointed with a double blind bottom and a relief engraved lid. That should do. Now back to turning espresso machine handles.
