Dave, that's some nice work! Do you do LMLM handles by chance?

Your custom handle and knob nice... Btw what thermometer do you attach in cylinder? What for?Yanfengl wrote:imageimageimageimage
Dave made this for me in November for my bezzera strega. It took me ages to get down to changing them up, and even more effort to get the stock handles off because of damn threadlock.
But, ... they look beautiful. Thanks again Dave!

Had a request for some Decent Espresso DE1 machine handles but a request to match the floors in their kitchen. Did a compound stain with ebony to darken the grain and sanded off then gray stain hand rubbed to lighten it in spots to allow the brown/grain of the wood show through then a catalyzed satin urethane finish to seal it. Pretty close in my opinion.

Fixing other peoples mistakes. You cannot use most off the shelf finishes on espresso machine parts. Most finishes will blister and peel from the heat. Other times, it is just shoddy workmanship and cracked wood. Portafilter handle had blistered and lost most of its finish and the tamper handle had a big crack in it. Better then new now.
