The group brass has 4 places seals could sit, V gaskets were in place down-blank-down-up on one and down-blank-down-down on the other. Could you suggest which gaskets to use if the silicone Cafelat will not? On a different thread someone suggested Cimbali M20 to match, but I'm not sure that works.

I hopethis is the correct answer:
There is not much info around. Can you post some pics and we shall see. Also if you could take a few measurements of the group sleeve ID and the piston grooves ID that would help.

Yes, thanks. I also posted here.

The Sleeve ID is 54 mm. The piston is 50 mm OD and grooves depth are 5 mm so piston inner OD (terminology?) is 40 mm. Here, graphically:

And what do you consider the ideal slot dimensions for the Cafelat seals? I have one Astoria piston-seal combination that did not work with the Cafelat gasket set and one that works great. So I am not sure that the Astoria model will be ideal. I need to replace the brass piston pictured above. A friend is going to turn one. He could use the dimensions to fit Cafelat seals so that the new group won't have the problem of unobtainable gaskets.
