You may have seen or heard the rumors stirring that the Virtuoso has been retired - we're excited to announce Baratza's upcoming release of the new Virtuoso+! The updates here are relatively simple, and internally we have the same 40 mm conical steel burrs and 40 stepped grind settings as before. Now, instead of an analog dial timer, Baratza has added a new digital display timer which can be set from 1 to 40 seconds to the tenth of a second. It can also be set into a pulse mode for more flexible grinding. Also new to the Virtuoso+ is a pair of LEDs to illuminate the grinds bin, so you can see how full the bin is without having to remove it.

The Virtuoso+ retails for $249 and is now available for pre-order, with stock expected toward the end of April. We will have some video coverage coming soon as well from its debut at Expo, so keep an eye out for that!

The LEDs sound awesome. I wonder if Baratza has ever thought of bringing something like the esatto back for these grinders
