Hi all, I am currently rebuilding a 1979 La Pavoni professional and have hit a roadblock removing the element from the boiler, and as a result the boiler from the base as it needs a full refurbishment.

any tips in the removal? I believe it is a threaded element, and as it still works I would like to reuse if possible to keep as much originality to the machine. I have attached some photos of the base. any tips with this machine would be much appreciated!
