Is this a mini Strietman or is Wouter just huge
He had posted about a new item soon to be released. You spotted the first New Mini! Good find.

That makes no sense, at all.

I assume they're referencing a post he made on Instagram last month saying a new accessory was coming soon.

He did post about a new item coming along but in terms of making sense it was not intended to. My guess is the photo was a lead in to April 1st thus the blended response. A fail with enuff said.

Hi folks.
Does anyone know what the CT1 piston is made from?
My piston appears to have worn through a brass coating in the groove for the upper seal and in spots on the lower face of the piston.

It looks like a copper piston that has been plated with brass.
Does anyone know?
I've tried to contact Wouter but no reply as yet.

It's all brass, the strietmans are not plated anywhere but as it interacts with water will change colors to give it a patina. Lube on the seals will transfer to the piston and coat it so it doesn't interact with the water as much given varying discoloration.

There is a stainless bonded to copper on the upper funnel. This is like bonding of a copper bottomed stainless pot. In fact the part was made by a factory that does just this.

I have an ES3 and have dismantled the piston and cylinder countless times over years and depending on the water I use and where I leave level in machine and how long it goes without use will change the finish of the internal components. Of course the ct2 has stainless piston liner and so it will be different than the ct1 and es3

What type of water are you using out of curiosity.
