Hello, I'm trying to rebuild a La Pavoni Millennium machine and the pressure regulator seems to be stuck.
I believe there are two nuts, one on top one on bottom, that need to be unscrewed, and have tried to do so counter-clockwise?
The top nut turns until the wand hits the end of the disassembled frothing stem, and hence can't turn anymore.
Does that frothing stem disassemble? On a pre-millenium La Pavoni this wasn't a problem as this piece unscrewed.
I've tried applying PB Blaster to bottom nut but that is not budging.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Use a "skinny" wrench to hold the nut under the collecting cup
and a socket to unscrew the upper valve body

Hi Stefano,
Yeah I've been using a thin wrench under the collecting cup but it just won't budge. The top nut is even starting to get a bit stripped even though I'm using a 16mm wrench on that as well. Thanks.

Use a socket (deep one)
rather then a wrench for the UPPER

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately my sockets are too thick to fit w/in that sleeve.
Will hunt for a socket that works.

In the old days I use to buy Snap-On and their sockets had thinner walls, but they are very expensive.

But, you can try before you buy, just ask the local auto shop when the truck comes by and bring the machine with you.
