if i find this then surely posted here
how much do you recommend?
Try it and see what you like. You have to drink the coffee. Nobody can tell you at what temperature the espresso is to your liking but you.
Coffee. Don't let the tea drinkers fool you. Yes ,it's supposed to taste bitter.

Alex-G wrote:I read the recommendations of 1.05-1.2 bar, is it worth trying 1.5 for a start?
maybe immediately lower? is there a screw? how much to twist?
1.1-1.2 bar is a pretty standard setting for any of the lever machines using the same style group as the Bosco. I don't see why the LSM group would require a higher setting. As I recall Bosco ships them set to 1.5 bar which is way too hot but maybe that's what they like in the Italian cafes. It will depend on the coffees you are using so try it at the lower setting & the turn it up & see which you prefer.

Mine came factory set at 128 Celsius.Currently running it at 123 Celsius.
Assuming that boiler size and design is the same between Pompei and Leva then the following
page from the Leva manual may be of help.Image
