FWIW, I'm very sensitive to artificial odors. I once passed out walking through Macy's perfume department.

We use Dawn Platinum Fresh Scent.

Warm may help the grease-cutters slightly. For me, the big advantage is the comfort of warmer hands.

I personally wouldn't "boil" it.
