Hey guys! Does anyone facing the same issue as me? The lever Piston is getting harder and harder to pull. I always find this is the sign where the piston is needed to relube again. And while taking out the spring/piston lever, the brass group sleeve/brew chamber came out with it. This hasn't happened before as normally the group sleeve stays in the group head and the piston with the three seals slides out reasonably freely. I'll have to press and hold against the sleeve in order to separate and pull out the piston itself.

Also realized theres always some grease residue that stick the wall of the brew chamber, I have to wipe it every damn time when taking out the piston

Also found some scratch marks on the silicone seal itself. I am also not sure what causes the scratch on the seal itself, could it be the misalignment of the piston?

Tried reaching out to the profitec tech team and they seems doesn't even bother to help fixing the issues.
Tried reaching the local distributor where i bought the machine from, the tech had no clue whats the cause too.

You might consider switching to the Londinium greaseless piston seals. There are threads discussing them.

Does it fits to profitec pro 800 as well?

I dont mind changing to the no grease seals. Just wanted to know what causes all this fuss

Always let the seals sit as they were when analyzing for wear/ scratches.Makes it easier to find out what's s causing it.

It's more of an indentation then a scratch. I've seen that on the lower seal where the seal covers the water inlet holes in the sleeve.

Is it a very normal occasion? So is not a misalignment?

I don't know how common it is but I have seen it before on some of the Bosco's lower seals. The marks always line up with the main inlet hole in the sleeve. Run your finger over the water inlet holes in the sleeve and make sure there are no rough edges.

If your seals are tight enough that they pull out the sleeve there may be enough pressure to push them into the water feed holes enough to wear a groove.

Those don't look like the original seals - I suspect they may not be the correct ones for this machine. Are they cafelat ? I had an 800 for three years but never experienced this. I did swap out the hard black seals for cafelat but contacted Paul Pratt to ask which ones he recommended.
