There hasn't been any recent discussions surrounding the Portaspresso PG in some time, so I thought I would stir things up by sharing a recent project I've been working on. Pre-heating is always a recurring topic surrounding manual machines and I thought to tackle that particular workflow issue with a cartridge heater and temp control.



Testing showed that it reaches temp within 3 minutes and stable at around 5 minutes.


The in-cup results turned out great and is equivalent to my previous routine of 3 pre-heat cycles.
