Yay! Success, problem solved. Yesterday when the machine was off for a long time the pressure was stuck at 0.5 bar even with the cap and valves open. So I checked the connection for the pressure gauge which seemed rather loose, I tightened it up and now, the needle is very responsive and the machine is working perfectly. I was able to set the pstat accurately and now after warm up it reaches 1 bar at warm up and now idles at 1.1 bar. Thanks for all your help.
