Thanks for the clarification, Peacecup, much appreciated, I'll make a note to do that.

On an unrelated note, I've started yesterday experimenting with a Napoli roast (dark slightly oily) and I'm finding the shots very bitter. I've adjusted grind size, dose, and tamp to no great benefit so I'm thinking I need to lower the brew temperature. Per recommendations, I've already taken the pstat down from the factory position of '9 and 3' to about '7 and 1' and now to '6 and 12', still bitter. I'll continue to adjust down to taste once my caffeination budget for the day resets tomorrow.
